I am unhappy, heartbroken and worried. What will the next four years bring? I can't believe that idiot got a second chance. Some have consoled themselves with the thought that since he got us into the mess, he should get us out. But I don't agree.

This is too serious to let him fuck it up again. But, we (the dems) did not do our job. Those red states felt alienated from the message. And it showed.

We don't understand those people in the red, and we didn't try to. And it caught us in the ass.

My dad is a Vietnam Vet and he bought those Swift Boat ads. We have to understand why that line of thinking was so acceptable, so attractive. Once we understand it, we can fight it.

So we wait, until the next election. House and Senate seats will be up for grabs. And we better be prepared.

People are wondering: Was the president wired during the first debate?

The latest rumor on the Internet is that Bush may have been wired during the debate, in an effort to improve his normally lackluster and often incoherent (can anyone say strategery?) performance.

Many point to Bush weird behavior during that 1st debate. According to Salon.com's David Lindorff"

On several occasions, the president simply stopped speaking for an uncomfortably long time and stared ahead with an odd expression on his face. Was he listening to someone helping him with his response to a question? Even weirder was the president's strange outburst. In a peeved rejoinder to Kerry, he said, "As the politics change, his positions change. And that's not how a commander in chief acts. I, I, uh -- Let me finish -- The intelligence I looked at was the same intelligence my opponent looked at." It must be said that Bush pointed toward Lehrer as he declared "Let me finish." The green warning light was lit, signaling he had 30 seconds to, well, finish.

No one is really sure where the photo came from and if the rumors are true. Are these folks paranoid or perceptive?

CNN reports that, according to the report by Charles Duelfer, head of the Iraq Survey Group, "Saddam did not have chemical and biological stockpiles when the war began and his nuclear capabilities were deteriorating, not advancing."

How can we reëlect the administration that got us into the Iraq quagmire under false pretenses? Seems to me that if we are going to send our military in, we better make damn sure that there is a good reason. And you have all the facts. In his rush to finish his daddy's war, ole' Dubya decided to shoot first and ask questions later.
