I am unhappy, heartbroken and worried. What will the next four years bring? I can't believe that idiot got a second chance. Some have consoled themselves with the thought that since he got us into the mess, he should get us out. But I don't agree.
This is too serious to let him fuck it up again. But, we (the dems) did not do our job. Those red states felt alienated from the message. And it showed.
We don't understand those people in the red, and we didn't try to. And it caught us in the ass.
My dad is a Vietnam Vet and he bought those Swift Boat ads. We have to understand why that line of thinking was so acceptable, so attractive. Once we understand it, we can fight it.
So we wait, until the next election. House and Senate seats will be up for grabs. And we better be prepared.
